SPAM Tox Shop Guide
The Tox Shop is SPAM's mid-match upgrade system and the reason no two games play the same. Here is exactly how it works and how good players spend.

Spamtons: your in-match income
Every card prints a Spamton generation value — how many Spamtons it produces each turn (Spirit cards generate 10, cheap attackers often 4–6). Your income each shop visit is the sum of your surviving cards' generation, plus a bonus that grows with the turn number. The player going second also receives extra Spamtons to offset tempo — that is the only first/second imbalance, and official stats show the matchup is nearly 50/50.
The shop cycle
The shop opens every two turns. Each visit offers a selection of Tox passives drawn from pools linked to the cards in your deck — your four cards literally shape what you can buy, which is why deck building and shop strategy are the same conversation.
Buying and placing Tox
Buying is two steps: select the Tox, then choose which card slot receives it. Each Tox shows its price, name, rarity and effect before you commit. If a card's slots are full, you may replace an existing passive or ability — replacing is permanent for that match, so never overwrite a core ability for a marginal upgrade.
Rerolls and Luck
Nothing appealing? Reroll — but the cost increases each time you do it in one visit. Your Luck stat raises the chance of rarer Tox appearing; some talents (Magic Coin) and Tox (Lucky) raise it. If your deck needs a specific rare effect to function, invest in Luck on the first shop visits, not the last.
Shop strategy
- First visits: economy and insurance. Luck, Spamton-generation and cheap defensive Tox (healing, Tenacity-style protection) pay off across the whole match.
- Mid game: patch your weakness. Facing freeze? Buy cleanse-like or resistance effects. Facing a healer? Damage steroids and passive removal.
- Late game: close it out. Big damage multipliers, revive effects (Phoenix) and board-wide buffs end games. Since patch 1.23, the Metamorph offer presents three cards of the same element — a real transformation option for stale boards.
- Protect the engine. A defensive Tox on your bonus-generating Spirit is usually worth more than a flashy offensive Tox on a card that is already winning.
