How to get cards in SPAM: level-up orbs, crystals, the Crystal Draw, duplicates and talents, card rarities from Common to Divine, and the premium pass.

Every card in SPAM can be earned for free: you get an orb each time you level up, and crystals won from matches buy more orbs in the shop. This guide explains the whole collection loop — orbs, crystals, duplicates, rarities and missions — so you know exactly where your next card comes from.
How to get cards
- Level up. Playing matches grants XP; every level awards an orb.
- Win matches. Victories pay crystals and XP. Casual and ranked both count.
- Complete missions. Daily, weekly and monthly missions pay out extra rewards — check the mission tracker after every session.
- Spend crystals. The shop sells classic orbs for 1,000 crystals, and the Crystal Draw (now half price since patch 1.23) offers individual cards.
Orbs
Orbs are SPAM's card packs. Each orb reveals rewards one by one: a new card, a talent for a card you own, or a cosmetic skin. Since patch 1.23, brand-new players receive a scripted starter orb in the element they choose, guaranteeing a playable first deck. Higher-tier orbs (like legendary orbs) exist for later milestones.
Duplicates and talents
A duplicate is never wasted: pulling a card you already own unlocks a talent for it — a hidden passive your opponent cannot see. Each card has three talent slots. Since patch 1.23, once you own all three of a card's talents, further duplicates become elemental fragments that gradually unlock its elemental skin. See the full passive list on our talents page.
Card rarities
Five rarities exist in the official SPAMdex for patch 1.23:
- Common — 66 cards
- Rare — 30 cards
- Epic — 18 cards
- Legendary — 12 cards
- Divine — 1 card (a single card: Aeltheria, Primordial Mother — the rarest pull in the game)
Rarity is not power. The developer has publicly pointed out that the three strongest cards at launch are commons — Floral Zombie and Murmurs of Black Coral among them — and that legendaries offer flashier, more unusual play patterns rather than raw strength. Full-art and elemental skins are purely cosmetic variants.
Missions and the premium pass
Missions come in daily, weekly and monthly tracks and pay crystals, XP and orbs. The optional premium pass adds a second reward track on top of the free one; the developer has confirmed pass rewards are retroactive — if you completed missions before buying, you receive the premium rewards for them. Nothing in the pass adds card power you cannot earn by playing.
